MEHMET AKAR (DJ / Producer / Mix & Mastering Engineer)
Mehmet Akar 1985 yılında İstanbul’da doğmuştur. Yaklaşık 15 yıldır müzik prodüksiyonu ve DJ’lik yapan Mehmet Akar, Beatport, Spotify, djtunes, iTunes gibi müzik marketlerde 100’ün üzerinde orijinal parça ve lisanslı remix’e sahip. Parçaları defalarca önemli listelere girmeyi başarmış Türk Prodüktör/DJ, Sasha, Patrice Baumel, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Eelke Kleijn, Kastis Torrau, Jimmy Van M, Olivier Giacomotto, Darin Epsilon gibi birçok başarılı ismin tracklist’lerine ve label’larına girmeyi başarmıştır.
2011 yılında SAE ve Beatport sponsorluğunda gerçekleşen Burn Cut Me Down Sasha Remix Contest yarışmasından global anlamda bir başarı elde eden Mehmet, yarışmada finale kalarak Ibıza’da 2 hafta Sasha ve Richie Hawtin’le özel workshop’lara girme ve Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels tarafından “Music Business” eğitimleri
almaya hak kazanmıştır.
DJ’lik kariyeri boyunca aralarında Arjantin, Rusya, Romanya ve Bulgaristan’ın bulunduğu birçok ülkede farklı etkinliklerde performans sergilemiş, setleri ve parçalarıyla dünya üzerinde karasal ve online birçok radyo programına konuk olmuştur.
Mehmet, tüm müzikal faaliyetlerine kurucusu olduğu SonarHouse çatısı altında devam etmektedir.
Mehmet Akar, who has been a music producer and DJ since 16 years. He has hundreds of remixes for more than 100 original tracks on all music platforms such as Beatport, Spotify, Apple Music etc.
His tracks got huge ways and made big successes just on his own producing style. Mehmet Akar’s talent got showed big respect all around the global electronic scene during his entire career. Mehmet Akar’s reputation have always been finding large electronic music audience, from underground to the mainstream. Some of the top Beatport Charts, Spotify Playlists and many underground music platforms include Mehmet Akar’s tracks, currently. Also global named labels have his tracks in their archive which all are available everywhere on music platforms.
In 2011 he proved his talent on global scene by winning “Next Producer Star Remix Contest” hosted by Burn Energy Drink. He got hand picked by Sasha to join Burn Studios to be in a workshop programme gaved by Richie Hawtin and Sasha at SAE Institute.
His music got supported by wide range of legendary names from old school to the new school of electronic dance music such as Sasha, Patrice Baumel, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Eelke Kleijn, Kastis Torrau, Jimmy Van M, Olivier Giacomotto, Darin Epsilon. And there are many countries around the world he played his music; Argentina, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania and many more.
Mehmet Akar’s tracks still takes places on worldwide known DJ’s, radio’s and live performances frequently.
In addition to all of this career, Mehmet is half of the SH Collective which they co-produce and play live unique indie dance tunes together with highly talented vocal and songwriter Elnur Hüseynov. Don’t forget to check it out.
After all these years of experience, he is still committed to discovering the best version both of himself and his music. He is currently working on his new project Stamp Music and continues to release tracks.
